Experience design for 2025 conclave at IIM Bangalore, creating immersive spaces that bridge innovation, sustainability, and social impact in the energy sector.
Since 2018, the Impact/Failure Conclave has challenged the impact sector's view of failure—not as the absence of success, but as part of a complex, evolving journey. The 2025 edition responded to rising inequality and climate change by encouraging reflection on past assumptions and future direction. The conclave was attended by over 600 participants from across 15 countries. It reflected a shift in mindset, a collective commitment to failure-informed learning, and a call to rethink how change is designed for the challenges ahead. The visual identity used bold typography and a modular dot system to represent fragmentation, connection, and transformation. This identity extended across physical and digital platforms—integrating smoothly with the venue - IIM Bangalore campus through wayfinding, signage, and on-stage graphics. Interactive installations deepened engagement: one asked participants to map emotions linked to failure; another categorized types of failure—systemic, process, operational—across sectors. Audio pods offered intimate failure stories from diverse voices. Graphic postcards and prints examined how perspectives influence the way failure is understood. A highlight was the RGB illusion artwork, where three colored lenses revealed three visual layers—each offering a different point of view. This powerful piece drove home the idea that changing perspectives can redefine both success and failure. The design system didn't just frame failure—it created space to reflect, reframe, and transform it. A reminder that failure, when seen differently, can be the start of something new.
