Annually hosted in Mumbai, TedXGateway has grown into one of the most prominent and widely attended TedX events in India, bringing together visionary speakers, performers, and changemakers from across the globe. At one such edition, the spotlight shone on Maati Baani, a celebrated World Music band known for its distinctive blend of Hindustani Classical, folk traditions from around the world, and fresh, experimental New Age sounds. The performance was envisioned as more than just music; it was designed as an immersive, multi-sensory experience. To achieve this, we developed a striking layer of mixed-media visuals that interacted dynamically with the live performance on stage. Abstract motifs, interpretive animations, and cultural references were woven into the narrative, amplifying the spirit of Maati Baani's music and creating a visual rhythm that echoed their soundscapes. The result was an unforgettable performance that transcended boundaries, where visuals and sound merged seamlessly to create a shared atmosphere of energy and emotion.
