Hosa is a contemporary restaurant in Siolim, Goa, reimagining South Indian flavors through a modern menu and vibrant bar, set within a beautifully restored 101-year-old Indo Portuguese villa.
Hosa, meaning "new" in Kannada, is a vibrant dining destination nestled in Siolim, Goa. Located opposite the iconic St. Anthony's Church, it resides within a restored 101-year-old Indo Portuguese villa, complete with high ceilings, handcrafted monochrome floor tiles, and a lush patio overlooking the Chapora river. Embracing its historic charm, Hosa reinvents South Indian cuisine through an inventive lens. Chef Suresh DC curated a focused menu of 38 dishes drawn from five southern states, spotlighting micro-regional delicacies like ginger tamarind pork ribs, prawn iguru, and Mysore pak inspired desserts. The bar, a striking 14 foot centrepiece, pulses with creative energy and houses classic and tiki style cocktails. Set amid dramatic gothic chandeliers, antique pew seating, and rotating art by South Indian artists, the ambiance blends Goa's heritage with contemporary design.
As part of EHV International's portfolio, which includes Indian Accent and Comorin, Hosa introduces a modern, accessible take on South Indian cuisine tailored for a multi generational audience. The visual identity reflects this synergy of tradition and modernity. We developed a typographic wordmark and a bold yet sophisticated palette inspired by the interiors. A custom illustration of the yellow bellied bulbul, Goa's state bird, enriches the cocktail menu cover, echoing the region's wildlife and artistic décor. Through thoughtful branding, Hosa now visually captures its ethos: where heritage meets innovation, and dining becomes an immersive cultural journey.
